History

The Southern Hospitality Service Group came about almost by accident. Four years ago, while reserving a tailgate spot one Friday afternoon prior to a home game in Auburn, Alabama, Nathan Guthrie was approached by a neighboring football fan who asked him to reserve his tailgate spot for the remainder of the season. In return, he was provided with a generous amount of food and drink at the tailgate party as well as an ample supply to take home.

Later that year, while visiting Oxford, Mississippi, for an Ole Miss football game, Guthrie was introduced to “the Grove” as well as to a whole new way of tailgating. What he found was an innumerable amount of fans willing to pay companies to facilitate all of their tailgating requirements. This experience helped him recognize the potential opportunity that came with starting his own tailgating service business in Auburn, Alabama. Since its foundation in the late summer of 2007, the Southern Hospitality Service Group has evolved into a full-service concierge & lifestyle management company offering products and services tailor made to fit a customer’s individual needs.
